Great Folk, Ballads & Light Rock in Carmichael, CA

Vintage Fare is a Carmichael band that’s in its second decade of performing for a variety of venues.

We’re a group of tight-knit friends in a small Carmichael neighborhood.

Alan Klein

Alan Klein

Singer, Songwriter, Co-Founder

Alan is one of the founding members of Vintage Fare.  His vibrant rythim guitar work combined with his bell-like voice gives our music a solid foundation.

Dave Lyman

Dave Lyman

Singer, Songwriter, Co-Founder

With his stellar harmonies and lead guitar work, Dave joins Alan if laying down the foundation of the Vintage Fare sound.

Cynthia Peterson

Cynthia Peterson

Lead Female Singer

Consummate crowd-pleaser, Cynthia brings a unique sound to Vintage Fare performances.  With a voice that can emulate Joan Baez, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks and her own style, Cynthia often brings audiences to tears.

Chuck Cole

Chuck Cole

Vocals plus any instrument that has strings

We stole (well, borrowed) Chuck from the New Christie Minstrels.

Chucks’ striking mandolin and sweet Dobro lend a one-of-a-kind sound to Vintage Fare.

Wes Peterson

Wes Peterson

Sound Engineering, a little harmonica

The least of our musicians, Wes joined Vintage Fare when nobody else would read the manual for the band’s mixer.  He was “adopted” when Dave heard Wes’s harmonica & a former member said “Jeez! You sound just like Bob Dylan.”

Music Samples

These short clips are from Vintage Fare’s first CD, Forever Young.

The CD title is taken from the closing song, Bob Dylan’s incredible piece by the same name.

The balance of these selections are from a variety of artists and should give you some idea of what Vintage Fare does.
